In addition to configuring the backhaul via the BlueZoo mobile app, you can also set the Wi-Fi credentials using the BlueZoo dashboard either remotely or while on-site.
To do this, first ensure the sensor location has been added to your account and the hardware is correctly assigned. The sensor must be connected, preferably via Ethernet, to reliably set and save the on-site Wi-Fi credentials.
In the dashboard, go to the sensor’s hardware properties and look for the “Wi-Fi Backhaul” section. Click the gear icon next to it, enable the setting, and enter the SSID and password for the on-site Wi-Fi network.
Note: This feature requires firmware version 5.0.5 or higher. If your sensor is running an older version, you can update it via the kebab menu (⋮) next to the sensor hardware or associated location name. If the “Schedule Firmware Update” option is not visible, please contact support@bluezoo.io, and we’ll enable it for you.
Before saving, double-check the credentials for accuracy. If incorrect information is entered, the sensor will fail to connect and will require manual reconfiguration.
After saving, wait for a few minutes before disconnecting the sensor from other backhaul to ensure the new settings are fully applied.
