Beginning with the BlueZoo Winter 2024 dashboard release, BlueZoo customers can update the firmware on their Black Panther sensors without intervention by the BlueZoo customer support team. This allows BlueZoo customers to test new releases in their environment before broadly distributing new firmware and is useful for participating in BlueZoo’s firmware beta testing program. Older sensor models, such as Arctic Fox and White Rhino sensors do not allow firmware management from the BlueZoo dashboard.
If this capability is available to your account, you will see “FIRM” (firmware updates) listed in the upper-left corner of the dashboard’s Home screen. Please note that this feature is accessible only to users with Super Admin roles.
To update your sensor firmware--only available to Black Panther models--go to the Sensor hardware section, select one or several sensors to update, click on the 3 dots in the top right corner, and select “Schedule firmware updates”.
Then, select the firmware version that you want to upgrade (or downgrade) to.
If firmware management is not enabled on your account, contact our support team to enable it.
